Studebaker built the Wright Cyclone - a product of Wright Aeronautical, a company that was created to built Hispano-Suiza engines.

A lot of American industrial history in that paragraph. But is there any connection to the Wright Brothers? Sure: Orville founded the Wright Company, then sold it to Glenn Martin in 1915 or so, who quit the company after a year. The company renamed itself Wright Aeronautical.

Mr. Martin went on other endeavors. (Think: the other part of Lockheed.)
