From the moment she saw it, she felt a great clashing in her heart. It was so impressive - the brick wall gave them a split-level lawn! That must be the newest thing. The garage was so handy, too - in bad weather you could just carry the groceries right in the house.

But where was the big picture window?

Why did it look like a jail - like the sort of place that could have more windows but didn't, because the people who lived inside didn't deserve more windows?

"It's on the side," her husband said. "The living room window is on the side!"

So it won't get the sunrise and it won't get the sunset. It looks at the side of the neighbor's house. It's painted brown.
