I went to New York on business: I had to cover the Toy Fair and the Westminster Dog Show. But since I had an empty Sunday to explore the city, I figured I'd use the trusty Handicam to interrogate the decorations of some of my favorite buildings. Naturally, it was rainy, cloudy, overcast, and dark, thus preventing any clear crisp shots.

But I went walking in the rain, and took these pictures. They're not intended, God forbid, as actual Arty Photographs; I leave that to the professionals. These are details of buildings that the street-level eye can't see, or ignores out of haste. There are over 30 shots to follow, and that's about .00001% of the architectural riches of the city.
