Hotel Lincoln. According to the card, the Lincoln - "Thirty Stories of Sunshine!" - was the first hotel to be "designed and decorated in the modernistic style." You might guess it from this card; it just looks like any old big brick New York hotel. But it was quite modern inside. Developed by the Chanin group, the interiors were a riot of Moderne decoration, verging on Buck Rogers. It's on 8th Avenue, between 44th and 45th.
