Ritz Building. The postcard shows why the building made such an impact on the Jazz Age crowd: it soared above everything else in the neighborhood, and it was a residential building as well. You could live up there with the airplanes, oversized and fictional though they may be.
It's still around, although it's not this color now. (It wasn't this color then, either. )
