Telephone & Telegraph building. Right by the Flatiron, which would be off to the left in this picture. (The red structre is the old Western Union building, I think.) This was built for AT& T, of course - it's momunental and marbley, but that odd little temple up on top looks peculiar. I imagine the view was spectacular, though; surely that was the boardroom where the masters of the world congregated to contemplate the future of the telephone adn the telegraph. Men, we have to choose one or the other. Not right away, but soon. Definately by 1950.
