1973. Yes, children, once there were two Howard Johnson's in Times Square. This one was across the street from the famous one. It might be hard to figure out where this scene is nowdays - then you spy Miller's shoe store. Thirty years later, the elegant storefront is still ignored and abused, but at least it survived.
