Some Job-Related Pictures of Limited Interest
This is manufactured reality. I went to Klingon Language Camp to do a story for the Washington Post on Klingon culture, and one of the photo editors Photoshopped a forehead & hair onto me. Can't identify the flanking fellows, but the gentleman in the blue shirt with the beard is Dr. Lawrence Schoen, founder of the Klingon Language Institute. Doing this story, I felt exactly like Al Pacino's character in "Crusining." But I still don't have my own prosthesis.
While at the Minnesota Daily, I interviewed Daily alumnus Harrison Salisbury. He was a fine old fellow, happy to give a few hours to a kid. Note my deadly-serious Real Writer expression, which is somewhat undercut by the overscuffed slip-on canvas shoes. Hey, it was '81.
