The wacky castles in the back fix the time period as Vaguely Medieval.

 

 

There's a fight at a castle moat with some alligators, and they're pretty strong and confident. Possibly because they were draw by a better animator:

 

 

Oswald is here to woo a princess. With music. From below. Sound familiar? It's the plot of Rival Romeos, without the rival. Yet.

 

 

Remember that gag in "Romeos" where they pulled her arms, and the arms kept coming? Like Oswald's tongue spool in the last one?
