Meanwhile, we notice something odd about Pegleg Pete:

Eventually he's cornered by Oswald, who proudces an enormous gun of the sort you saw brandished in "Roger Rabbit."

The bullets are useless against Pete, who chokes Oswald until he spools out a yard of tongue:
