Ahhhh. Probably the apex of downtown Fargo, right here. Lots of neon signs; modern lighting, and atom-powered jet-cars that moved so fast they left only trails. A summer night in the Time of Ike. Manhattan it's not, but it's hardly what most people think about when they hear the word "Fargo." Who wouldn't want to spent a summer night walking down these streets, looking in the windows, listening to the signs hum, watching the sky fade and the stars come out to dance around the big red One?
We’ve finished with this vantage point. For the next segment, we’ll have to go back in time, so don’t be surprised when the next card is a duplicate. Just setting the stage. Let us head downstairs - none too soon, since this building from which these shots were taken will be demolished soon - and drop back a few decades.
