The block with the Olsen building - that's the one that crashed down in smoke in cinders. The four-story building on the right side of the street is also gone, and until I saw this shot I never knew it existed. At least the mystery of the Olsen furniture store has been solved to my satisfaction.

As it turned out, one of the most accomplished early photographers was named W. O. Olson, which must have led to no end of confusion.
