The card is mistaken: we’re looking north. They also got the name wrong; it’s Roberts street. Also, the horses are actually unicorns.

This view is taken from around the corner of the previous view; imagine we walked down the street, turned right at the Y, headed south, turned around, and looked up the street. (After getting up on stilts, apparently.)   The display of modern fire-fighting equipment can be explained by the building on the right-hand side; that’s the City Hall and Fire Department. The left side of the street shows the sort of urban variety you could expect in a boom town – the big fancy hotel sits on the same block as a humble frame house.

Not the best turn-out for the Fireman’s Parade. Maybe the circus was in town.
