Hello! Business was so good they jacked the building up and built two more floors in the middle. (Kidding.) The sign was new as well, and the decorations on the top floor daringly modern for 1919.
Not a great deal of variety in the automotive stylings of the time, but the colors were unique. The Fireproof claim has been dropped from the sign, perhaps because the conspicuous fire escape makes you realize that fire could, indeed, take purchase in this structure.
