See? I can’t take a good picture of it, either. No idea why. In any case, this is the modern view: the Waldorf was replaced  by a bank, but the deLendrecie’s building still stands. Not as a department store, alas. DeLendrecie’s moved to the mall in 1973 with the rest of downtown retail, and the space, like the Sears building,  was converted into a boutique mall. More candles and books. It failed to thrive, as they say, but eventually the apartments were rented and the retail mix stabilized.
