Ahh. Civilization. This is NP Park. On the right, the Waldorf Hotel (it’s the Milner in this image, which dates this picture in the 40s) and deLendrecie’s department store. A traveler alighting from this station would find a much more urbane and welcoming environment than the Great Northern station provided.

I can imagine mailing this card to someone in the war: home waits for you. I can imagine the card pinned up in a bunk in a ship in the Pacific. I can imagine how this would seem like paradise.
