Is this a movie you really want to settle in and enjoy? Oy. It’s a 1932 all-Black early talky, and has no mystery as far as I can tell - except why they put the camera where they did. Unlike some of the tedious Monogram studio shows described her, it has music; since most of the film takes place at a nightclub called the Lybian, the few moments of painful exposition are set between stage-show numbers. As a time capsule, it’s interesting, but the bad sound and bad print don’t help. You do learn things. For example: even Black people did blackface.
