This is a repeat, if you’ve been following the site for years and remember every single piece of art I put up. I knew I’d done something on the MontaMower years ago, and googled it: the result is amusing, both for the post and the reply.)

No agents or dealers or foreign sales – that’s how incredible the MontaMower was!  You had to mail away for the Approved Offer, and only then would they tell you what it cost. (It cost $18 in 1924.) Billed as the only advance in Lawnmower Technology in a half a century, it never caught on – perhaps because it just looks like one of those things the local “free thinker” would buy. He’d tell you once about it, never expecting you’d buy one, of course; you’re too bamboozled by the Lawn Trust and the Briggs & Stratton boys to think for yourself. After that he’d just sneer if you waved while he was mowing. Friendly, my ass. You just think I’m peculiar. Well, that’s what they said about Aristotle, mister.
