Wow.

Sometimes that’s all there is to say: wow. One of those simple images you’d put in a book that explained America to space aliens. The "greater safety" claim looks a bit odd to modern eyes, since both these attracive people would probably be dead jam if the guy hit a pothole at 72 MPH. But cars had guillotine dashboards and sternum-piercing steering columns and artery-shredding windshields, too. No one lives forever. On the other hand, anyone could drive the desert in a Harley if they really wanted. Some did. More wish they had.
