Captain Flag was one of the more interesting villains in comics; he adopted a patriotic costume that made folks assume he was on the side of Right and the Constitution and Industry and God (R-Heaven), but he was a total bastard who haunted circuses, waiting for the moment he could grab flame-haired dames in the middle of their high-wire acts.
