They called him Aman, the Amazing Man. (Also a song by Ray Stevens, I think.) He was also known as the Green Mist, green being a color of mystery and daring in those days. Seriously: the Green Mist, the Green Hornet, and, believe it or not, a crime-solver called the Green Llama. (He could blind men with his spittle, perhaps.) Here we see Amazing Guyinterrupting one of Hitler’s many outdoor strategy sessions by hurling a torpedo, complete with inactive propellor, at the Butcher of Berlin.
We learn a little about Aman: he has super natural powers. He has a beautiful assistant, and his arch-enemy is “The Great Question.” (What, how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll?) Note the Daily Plot-Point newspaper Amazing Man is reading. Note also the bad writing and equally horrid lettering. As for the Great Question: he was defeated by the end of the comic.
OR WAS HE?
Hence the name, perhaps.
