It was not very sophisticated, nor made the necessary appeals to "Manhood Restoration" so popular elsewhere in the patent-medicine trade. Perhaps potential customers were also unnerved by the combination of Piles and Magnetism, although of course no magnetism was really involved in Realitism. Particularly personal magnetism.
