Unlike most hallways, which go up and down in straight lines, the Gobbler hallways travel in the new "circular" style, which allows unimpeded access to other parts of the hallway. Stone walls are kindly provided for the blind, who can note the different terrains and judge their position accordingly.
No, those strange white things aren't structural - they're purely ornamental! They remind one of a series of wagons travelling down a motel hallway, if wagons ever did such a thing . . . which, of course, they never did.
