As time passed, audiences demanded more and more body parts would fall off; one of the brothers obliged, while the other - the darker, brooding brother - honed himself down to one perfect autodecapitation. He regarded his brother's willingness to lose all of his limbs as showy, and felt it ruined the subtlety of his own performance.
