O My Cousins, 1959

As far as we can reconstruct from the records, Western Civilization enjoyed a brief fad called Clockwork Orange Parties, wherein kids would dress up as characters from a beloved popular novel and act out various scenes. Here the children, dressed in their droog hats, are enjoying a wholesome game of ping pong - or, as the book called it, The old In-Out. Later Mom will serve moloko and cookies and everyone will viddy the TV, which will show charming instructional lessons on personal hygiene and manners.
No one's having a good time here except Dad, who seems inordinately pleased.
