As far as we can reconstruct from the records, Western Civilization enjoyed a brief fad called “Clockwork Orange Parties,” wherein kids would dress up as characters from a beloved popular novel and act out various scenes. Here the children, dressed in their “droog hats,” are enjoying a wholesome game of ping pong - or, as the book called it, “The old In-Out.” Later Mom will serve “moloko and cookies” and everyone will “viddy” the TV, which will show charming instructional lessons on personal hygiene and manners.
No one's having a good time here except Dad, who seems inordinately pleased.
