EIGHTEEN YEARS WITH GOOD BEHAVIOR

Judging from this work, incarceration was a a common event in the lives of children, and the title would seem to suggest the sentences were quite long. The child is permitted a series of colored disks, which would play songs to lessen the psychological effects of solitary confinement. The picture on the wall is believed to be a narrative about the moral fall of man; the characters "Jill" and "Jack," often used in cautionary tales about sexual immorality, are shown falling from heaven, cast out by the God who lives in the well.
