THE UNATTAINABILITY OF HEAVEN

We can date this picture to the era of the Eternal Organic, a type of ceremonial foilage used in various ceremonies. They were made of a material that resisted wear, and could only be consumed by fire. No research has proved definitively that the Eternal Organics had any theoogical purpose, but in the case of this work, they appear to be interceding between the viewer and the glimpse of heaven we are vouchsafed by the window. We must remain in the land of the living, for now, until the Eternal Organics usher us into the bright, modern, all-electric purgatory.
