Relax, refresh, refuel; a triumvirate of alliterative enticements familiar to many in the South. This late 60s matchbook - procured by your host as a young boy - shows the chain at its apogee of greatness, the undisputed sovereign of a time when "pecans" were enough to lure travellers in search of odd regional delicacies.

The official Stuckey's site is not worth a link - to be kind, it stucks. This site is rather amateurish, but it has some nifty pictures - and you'll be greeted with the Stuckey's jingle, which alone is the price of admission. The site's creator has a love of Stuckey's I can only applaud, and his devotion to the chain - and his attempt to collect pictures of discontinued Stuckey's - makes him this week's hero.
