One of the first Snyder matchbooks ever made. It started out as a cigar store on Hennepin in 1928, grew to a flagship store on the corner of Hennepin, and expanded to a regional chain. There were 25 left in Minnesota when Walgreens bought them in 2010.

It's odd, really - they were a fixture for decades, and everyone knew that the stores were reliable places for reasonably priced goods. Now they're gone, and no one really cares. In the end, they had absolutely no brand loyalty.

Even if they'd had lots, it wouldn't have mattered.
