Ah, the ill-fated Benbow. It was a small chain of mid-priced-trending-to-upper tier motels; it had pretenses to something noble. It could have been named after John Benbow, English admiral, but more likely it was named after the place where Jim Hawkins lived in Treasure Island.

Somwhere there's a . . . well, treasure trove of information about this chain, but I'll be damned if I've ever come across it. Just postcards. No menus, no scans of franchise offers, nothing.
