At the end of the story the Phaeton is packed away, becaues it's damaged. It could probably be repaired, but that's no fun. No kid wanted to read about the same invention twice.

The plot? Frank escorts two people to the Gold Coast, where they find a mine and become fabulously wealthy. I'm sure Frank got a cut. Didn't have to ask. Didn't even have to send Barney around to knock some heads. A man with an electrical death beam commands a certain amount of respect.
