The fascinating splay-footed comic Snoopy Sniffer appealed to kids from 1 to 6, but boy, once they were a day over that age, they dropped it like a hot potato.

Timmy Time had LEARN in big letters so kids could know he was fun personified.

   
 

I’ll wager the Junior Stewardess set was a bit hit, but the real treat was the CLOSE-UP FUN provided by the Famous Brands Kiddy Chest. I had a fascination with miniature versions of real adult things.

Perfect post-war company name: REMCO. It sold for REMote COntrol, originally, but Wikipedia notes that it had other popular products: the Johnny Reb Cannon and Mighty Matilda Atomic Aircraft Carrier. The Medicine Chest was apparently their first product, in 1953.
