That’s some serious iconography: a stabby-tool, a gun and the cross. The last item may be due to Levski’s nickname, “The Deacon” – he took the vows as a young man, but gave it up for direct acton. The monument in the center is a Sofia landmark, commemorating Levski’s hanging by the Ottoman authorities.
