It was demolished in 2017, but not before it was made over in blue to denote . . . I don't know, extremeties exposed to consistently cold temperatures. New apartments were built on the site, and it seems few shed tears:
"The Twin Bridges has fallen into such a state of disrepair that it's not only an eyesore, but it's a public safety hazard. Over 500 calls a year, police calls, happen at that location. That's too much," said Gallagher.
The fate, it seems, of so many of these old places. Well, as we begin this year's tour, let's hope for the best.
