Gone without a trace. The old sign was much more modest, and fit the low-slung place. This sign suggested everything was modern now - but for all you knew, they spent everything they had on the sign.
The owners were Bruce and Fern Teeters. If there's a better 1950s motel-operator name than Fern Teeters, I'd like to know. You can't get more cheerful.
