So far from Vegas, even farther from the Holiday Inn company office – it’s remarkable what you could get away with when lawyers were less likely to cross the country to press a trademark infrigment case! The Stardust combined the casino font with a rather blatant rip-off of the Great Sign, but the result is pretty dang cool. If I had been hired to demolish the sign, I would have declined the job - then thought better, taken it away and put in my backyard.
“Over-sized Beds,” said the card. Wonder if there was any room to walk around, or whether people had to move around by bouncing on the mattresses.
