BAR-X MOTEL, North Platte NE

Curious directions on the back: “For cars traveling West, 3 blocks over the viaduct.” Cars traveling east were apparently on their own.

This card was sent from North Platte to Almond, Wisconsin in March of 1966.  “Note the flowers,” says the message scrawled on the back. Apparently the sender thought the cards had been photographed that morning. Nice sign – nothing special, though, and don’t you think they could have rustled up an “I” for the photo shoot?  The satellites show a motel-shaped building at 112 E. 10th St, but the parking lot looks like  it’s being used as a storage lot.
