You could get a 30,000 word novel off that sentence without even trying, couldn’t you. Note the sign: lots of stuff pointing down. Presumably it blinked like the dickens at night, too. Stop looking at the stars! Come over here, you dang fool.
A little bit of Bailey can be found here. He was 81 at the time, but had six years left to go. Mr. Choate died on the last available day of July in the summer of 2002. This sign would have made a magnificent tombstone.
