This building survived for over 80 years. Once, while downtown on an errand long forgotten, I had a camera, and pointed it up at the building. Don't know why I did that. It was a normal everyday sight,and I'd little reason to think it wouldn't always be there. That was before they started tearing everything down. Two decades after this building was finished, Donaldson's announced a new building plan that must have made jaws drop all over town . . . |
