Oh. Joy. Most of the old buildings were demolished, but the Lumber Exchange still stands on the corner. This godless nightmare of a ramp had one virtue: it bore the successor to Curly's, a nightclub called the Longhorn. (Later Zoogies.) It had a brief incarnation as a punk club, and Elvis Costello played his first Twin Cities gig there, touring behind his first album.
