Ah. Better. Note how the darker building on the extreme left appears to be a mirror image of the Vendome – same ornamentation, same rusticated stones, same proportions and rhythms. What gives? It was another hotel – but that’s a different story.

This picture confirms what the other pictures only suggest: it was a beautiful building. Tons of icing and caryatids.
