Wouldn’t be a Masonic Temple without Masonic iconography.

 

     
 

In the previous version of this site I said I didn’t like the building, and that seems harsh. Accurate, but harsh. I’ve never been mad about Richardsonian Romanesque – it always struck me as gloomy and heavy, a style from a time for which I had no particular sympathy or interest. But I would have laid down in front of the bulldozers if they’d tried to knock it down.

     
 

Which would have been stupid, because they probably would have used something other than bulldozers. But I’m not going to tie myself to steel column and spit on the fuses that lead to the explosive charges. I mean I could, but I assume they're electronically triggered.
