No matter how many years pass, the loss of this one still sets some people’s teeth on edge.

Why? I’ll be honest: that’s one hell of a piece of stone. Carved from a single block. (Kidding.) I’ve never been a big enthusiast for the style, but I respect it. The Lumber Exchange is more to my taste; the Masonic Temple is more whimsical. This thing was a brute. It looks far more graceful here than it actually was.
