Context: an old newspaper ad reveals that the building was originally the Turnbull -Nelson store, complete with a giant five story sign! Or maybe not. Seems big. On the other hand, I blew up the original photo, and found marks near the top that might have been left by the sign's bolts. I'm more interested in the lack of historical infomation about the store itself; nine floors would have made it the city's tallest.
