I give up on this one. My source material is inconclusive; my research is half-arsed anyway, and short of spending a lot of time in the Minnesota Historical Society archives, I'll never get this one straight.

You'll understand my dilemma in a moment. For now, enjoy this utterly ordinary early 20th century office building: the sedate-yet-ornate bottom floors, the unadorned middle that could be five stories or 40, culminating in an ordinary cornice.

So what's the confusion? Well. First of all, this was a bank. The SAVINGS in the window should be your first clue. It was the Lincoln bank for a while, then it was absorbed into the Norwestern Nat'l operation. In the late 80s there was a Zantigo's Mexican restaurant in the lobby area; you could see the giant vault door behind the kitchen.
