Here's the site before construction. Interesting fact: the big building on the right was not razed, but incorporated into the new building. It was flayed and gutted, but it's still there today. A few floors were added, but if you refer to the picture above, you see a lacuna between the main building and the eastern wing. That little sliver is a reminder of this building's previous life as an independent entity.

The gloomy thing on the left seems to have been built in several phases as well; from the appearance of the facade and windows, it was used as a coal-pulverizing facility.
