Even the side entrances have more style than the front doors of buildings built before or after. Take a look at that picture from the top again - one really does get the feeling they're focusing your attention on where to go, eh?

Years ago I used a videocamera to get this detail of the uppermost floors:

And here's the metal grill - a piece of art bolted to a wall in the sky. They didn't have to do that; no one could see from the sidewalk. Somehow they knew it was there, though. I'll bet everyone knew.
