Originally, I had my hopes up. Then I was disappointed. Then I got a tour of the building with the architect on opening day, and, thus co-opted, I decided I liked it. Just kidding about that last part. I’d come to like it before I took the tour. While it doesn’t have the drama of the illustration - which building does, exactly? - it has a pure wintry quality I’ve come to like. It’s a building that lets the eye relax, and it fits into its slot better than 99% of anything built these days. As you’ll see.
