Hastings, Nebraska. Seems they were worried that a big lighted sign that said THE LAMP POST might make people think it was, well, a lamp post store. So they put CAFÉ on top. Again we see the unfortunate 60s tendency to mix fonts – a nice cool modern typeface for CAFÉ, and something from a 1926 newspaper logo for the name of the place.
