COUNTRY KITCHEN, Fargo ND

I know this is supposed to be a pre-site chain, but I have a soft spot for this one. It’s the Country Kitchen. This was the St. Cloud outlet, but it’s indistinguishable from the one in Fargo, right down the freeway location. “Noted throughout the upper Midwest for Fresh Strawberry Pie.” Also for raw wood walls that gave you slivers if you leaned up against them.

“Your Genial host, Bob Waseka.”

That's the Fargo location on the left. The St. Cloud location was on Highway 10, "north of its intersection with US Highway 52."

They don't intersect anymore. I believe that old Highway 52 is now 23. Nothing left of this structure I can detect; it's been replaced by "Country Inn & Suites" - which is owned by the company that owned the Country Kitchen chain at the time.

The Country Boy has been around for a while.
